For the first time, oils for skin rejuvenation were used centuries before our era. Ancient Roman emperors, ancient Greek priests and ancient Egyptian pharaohs anointed the skin with oil. Then they were almost the only cosmetics, really worth their weight in gold and only available to the aristocracy.
With the development of the chemical industry, more effective synthetic creams emerged and for some time the oil should not be forgotten.
But today, when, after careful study, scientists have discovered the new anti-aging properties of vegetable oils, they are experiencing a rebirth.
Nowadays around the world there is a real boom in the use of natural cosmetics based on natural oils and plant extracts.
Why oil is useful
All vegetable oils can be divided into two major groups - natural and essential. They can be used individually and in combination, buy ready -made compositions or compose them yourself. This product is obtained by cold pressing from quality natural raw materials. They can be obtained from nuts, seeds, grains, and fruit pits. These oils are primarily a valuable source of nutrition, as most of them contain:
- the strongest natural antioxidants - vitamins C and E;
- vitamin A which increases skin elasticity;
- B vitamins that improve the condition of the skin, hair, nails;
- valuable trace elements - selenium, iodine, manganese, iron, copper, etc. ;
- essential minerals - potassium, calcium, magnesium, fluoride, etc.
The secret of the powerful effect of natural oils on human skin is that it has a chemical composition similar in its formula to sebum. Allergies are very rare in them, it does not cause irritation and has a clear softening and calming effect.
Often, natural vegetable oils are the basic components of creams and masks, in which essential oils with truly unique properties are easily dissolved.
Interestingly, in many ways, essential oils remain a mystery to humans. According to its origin, this is a volatile aromatic substance that can be found in different parts of the plant. To get a small amount of pure essential oil, sometimes a lot of raw materials need to be processed, so the cost can be very high.
The most remarkable property of essential oils is their ability to penetrate into the deep layers of the skin due to its low molecular weight structure. In addition, absolutely all of them have expressed antiseptic and bactericidal properties, and in one way or another are able to affect a person's mental state.
Now their medicinal properties are being studied. But what we already know about them allows them to be used effectively at home and in professional cosmetology.
Natural oils
Natural vegetable oils are used not only for the face, but also for the whole body. Massage with them quickly and effectively improves the condition of the skin, moisturizes it and even smoothes fine wrinkles.
But not everything is always in a liquid state. Some of it (cocoa, shea, coconut, etc. ) hardens at room temperature and resembles oily paraffin in structure. Before use, it must be heated in a water bath until the solid dissolves. Due to these properties, such oils are often a basic component for making homemade creams.
Different types of oils have different properties, so they should be chosen individually, depending on the skin condition and the problems that need to be solved by using them.
The best product for you is a product that is completely absorbed by the skin and does not leave an oily layer on it. The most notable anti-aging properties of this oil:
- Arganovoye. Moisturizes the skin perfectly and, thanks to its chemical composition, restores the balance of its Ph and water salts. It is able to smooth wrinkles and even superficial scars.

Naturally prepared homemade cream is stored in the refrigerator for no more than a month.
Essential oils
Essential oils have significant healing properties, and their diversity is great. Today, more than 3000 essential oil plants are known. However, there are only over 200 of them undergoing industrial processing. In cosmetology, only about 50 types of essential oils are used.
Often, the following types of essential oils are used for facial rejuvenation:

It is highly not recommended to use 100% essential oils on the skin in pure form - this can cause irritation, allergic reactions and even burns. The application of these spots is sometimes used to treat acne.
Reviews and contraindications
Reviews and results after using natural oils are the most positive.
In terms of effect, they are usually not inferior to the most expensive creams, and practically have no contraindications. The only limitation is not to use it on areas affected by skin diseases and pustular eruptions.
Individual intolerance is extremely rare.
Almost all essential oils should not be used during pregnancy, lactation, and fever. Also, for each of them, there are additional restrictions and contraindications that must be carefully studied before use.
Unlike natural oils, if used improperly, it can cause high blood pressure, irritation and even bronchial spasms. Because of its strong effect on the body, you need to treat it with caution.
